About
Juan Pablo's mission is to bridge opportunity gaps in his home country by contributing to private and public organizations. He is a software and AI engineer, CEO and Co-Founder of TrustMe, President and Co-Founder of Mexico Trek, and Co-Founder and Chair of the Interuniversity Association of Mexicans in Boston. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.
His research interests include remittances and immigration, self-production and affordable housing, and organized crime. He has developed multiple web and mobile applications (TypeScript, React 18, Express.js, PostgreSQL on AWS), n8n agentic workflows, customized RAG chatbots, trained neural networks (Keras), and dynamic data visualizations. He has taught Microeconomics for 6 years as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard College and as “Laboratorista” at ITAM, and for 1 year Game Theory and Advanced Research Methods (microeconometrics) as “Facultad Menor” in ITAM's Political Science Department.

- •TrustMe (trustme.mx – under development) — Winner of the Stanford Impact Founder Fellowship, an AI-powered marketplace for repair and construction workers. Pivoted from Calli AI Project — An AI-assisted architect via WhatsApp, backed by Stanford's Botha-Chan Summer Innovation Program (sponsored by Sequoia Capital Partner Roelof Botha)
- •Mexico Trek (mxtrek.com) — A binational nonprofit operating for 3 years, bringing 50+ top graduate students each year from the best universities in the world (including Harvard, Stanford and MIT) to meet high-level leaders and institutions in Mexico through a 9-day immersion program, partnering with the most relevant government and private organizations of Mexico.
- •ARTizapan — A municipal nonprofit operating for over 10 years, creating more than 150 murals to recover public spaces in Tizapan, a high-poverty town.
- •Kaizen Educación (sunset in 2021 after 2 years) – An online economics education and tutoring platform, which reached 600+ active paying students.
At Boston Consulting Group (BCG), he collaborated in the development of growth, diversification, and market entry strategies for multibillion-dollar Latin American conglomerates across consumer, fintech, industrial goods, and government sectors. He has also performed advanced data analytics for companies and governments and led organizational design initiatives. Previously, he worked in Corporate Responsibility at Fresnillo PLC.
He has led multiple community organizations at prestigious institutions, serving as President of the Student Council of ITAM (2017–2018), President of the Latin American Caucus of the Harvard Kennedy School (2023–2024), President of the Stanford University Latin American Graduate Student Organization (2024–2025), and Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Interuniversity Association of Mexicans in Boston (2023–2025), one of the largest international university groups of Mexicans in the world, among many other organizations. For more than 15 years, he has led teams from 5 to 35 people in the planning and execution of 100+ projects/events, including contests, grants, conferences, massive social events, educational programs, and more.
Juan Pablo holds a BA in Economics and a BA in Political Science from ITAM—two full degrees—where he received the Baillères Scholarship, a full-ride award given to only one student per class. He holds the Mexican record for winning First Prize in three International Logic Olympiads, among other national academic distinctions.
The sixth of seven children, Juan Pablo grew up hardwired to think collectively. He enjoys cinema (favorite film: Cinema Paradiso), football, philosophy, maths, history, and spending time with friends and family. He supports Toluca and Barcelona, and his favorite players are Miroslav Klose, José Saturnino Cardozo, and Lionel Messi. Among his favorite Mexican books are La Sombra del Caudillo, El Reflejo de lo Oscuro, and México Tierra de Volcanes.
